River Valley USBC 2025 Year End Recap
The River Valley USBC achieved significant success in 2025, marked by notable events and milestones.
January kicked off with 52 bowlers competing in the Junior Bowling Association Tournament at Striker’s Lanes in Baldwin. Dominic Rustad won the 12-and-under division with a handicap score of 679 (409 Scratch Score). Michael Bierwerth took first place in the 13-and-over division with a handicap score of 706 (671 Scratch Score).
The Annual Meeting took place on April 27 at Barn Board Grill & Saloon in Roberts. Key outcomes included launching a new award system and establishing automated email communication for all 1,283 bowlers.
Amanda Bowell earned the honor of being one of just 20 youth delegates in the U.S. chosen to attend the 2025 USBC Convention & Annual Meeting in Las Vegas from May 4-7. Her participation will help guide the future of our organization.
From May 16-18, board member Elizabeth Ziegler proudly represented our association at the WI USBC State Convention in Green Bay. Her active participation and insights were well received by attendees.
The Third Annual River Valley USBC Golf Fundraiser brought together 136 participants on June 23 at Kilkarney Hills Golf Club. Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and 31-hole sponsors, we raised an impressive $8,627 for the River Falls Junior Bowling and Striker’s Youth Bowling programs. These vital funds ensure every youth bowler can participate in the WI State Youth Championships and help keep our junior programs thriving.
Board member Thomas (T.A.) Anderson attended the USBC Leadership Academy at USBC headquarters in Arlington, TX, in September. He explored key topics, exchanged insights, and built meaningful connections with other participants.
On November 15, the Annual 9-Pin No Tap Tournament brought excitement to the Hudson Bowling Center as a fundraiser for the River Valley USBC. A heartfelt thank you to Kim Kiel, Linda Gardner, Rose Minke, and Vince Thomley for their dedication to making the event a success. Congratulations to Cody Almer, who bowled an outstanding 900 series, including handicap, to take first place.
